Hey it’s Dr. Ko here from Reset Ketamine.
In my hand I have a wheel and the reason I bring up this wheel is because there’s
a really cool exercise called the Wheel of Life that I want to share with you about.
As you know I am a firm believer and in ketamine and ketamine treatments for the
rapid treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and chronic pain.
However ketamine is not a panacea. It’s not the one silver bullet that’s gonna
cure everything but there are things you can do to help integrate your ketamine
experience and transform your life. So I highly encourage using this cool
exercise called the Wheel of Life. So the Wheel of Life has eight domains
that you can look at in your life and rate them on a scale of 0 to 10. So 0
being the worst 10 being the greatest. So the eight domains are fun and
recreation, friends and family, romance / significant other, physical environment,
money and career, spirituality, health, and personal growth. And as you rate yourself
on a scale of 0 to 10 amongst these domains you can see that if it were a
wheel, if you connect the dots and the lines for each of those domains ask
yourself, “Is this wheel that I’ve created balanced and symmetric or is it jagged
and crooked?” Sometimes we’ll notice that one area of our life we’ll rate ourselves
a nine out of ten. Other areas might be a three out of ten. And the more circular
and balanced that wheel is the greater impact that it will have on our lives
and the more positive impact it will have on our lives. So for example, I
filled out the wheel of life and here it is and what I did basically was just put
a little number between each of those labels and as you can see in this wheel
of life there are some areas that couldn’t use some work and there’s some
areas that are doing great. But if this were a wheel I was using to drive
around in it might be a bit bumpy of a ride. So ideally we want it to be nice
smooth and symmetrical. This is a great tool so you can identify, “What areas do I
need to work on? What areas can I celebrate?” and as you gradually improve
these areas in your life the more balanced you can be and as you know the
the diameter of a wheel the easier will be to travel longer distances in your
